The Ravello Festival returns for its 73rd edition, offering fifteen evenings of music in the unique setting of the Belvedere of Villa Rufolo, overlooking the Amalfi Coast. Organised by the Ravello Foundation with the support of the Region of Campania, the Festival presents a rich and diverse programme featuring some of the most acclaimed orchestras, soloists and conductors on the international scene.
Among the featured performers are the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the Filarmonica della Scala, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Dresdner Philharmonie. Artists such as Yuja Wang, Daniel Harding, Myung-Whun Chung, Michael Spyres and Stefano Bollani will perform works by Wagner, Brahms, Berlioz, Beethoven, Stravinsky, Tchaikovsky and others, alongside tributes to jazz legends and rarely performed baroque arias.
The programme includes concerts at sunset and sunrise, exclusive performances, and introductory talks held in Ravello’s historic venues. The Ravello Foundation, in collaboration with Galleria Lia Rumma, presents Women of Antiquity by Anselm Kiefer, at Villa Rufolo from July 11 to August 26, 2025, as part of the Ravello Festival 2025.
The project focuses on one of the most recurring themes in Anselm Kiefer’s research: the female figure as a generative, destructive, or initiatory force. Women of Antiquity, inspired by protagonists of Roman history, Greek mythology, and Nordic traditions, are represented as archetypal or symbolic presences.
